About Us
The isolated island community of Sitka, Alaska, has struggled with affordability issues in every aspect of life for decades.
Affordable housing has always been at the forefront of making this charming, scenic place economically sustainable.
In 2006, concerned citizens took matters into their own hands and created the Sitka Community Development Corporation. A decade later, the name became the Sitka Community Land Trust (SCLT), and this group is steadily building affordable homes.
